Avid Knowledge Base Avid DX Video hardware not found with co-install of Pro Tools 11.1 and Media Composer 7.0.2 or lower Last Updated: December 9, 2013 Products Affected: MediaComposer, ProTools, ProToolsHD If Pro Tools 11.1 and the Avid Video DX driver that supports Pro Tools 11 is co-installed with Media Composer 7.0.2 or lower the DX hardware will not work with Pro Tools 11.1. The dialog, 'This build of the App requires a different Avid DX driver than you have installed' is presented with an Update button.

Pressing the Update button does not resolve the issue. Media Composer version 6.5.4 and below and Media Composer version 7.0.2 and below is not supported for co-install when Avid Mojo or Nitris DX is attached. Pro Tools 11.1.0 contains a DX driver update that is not compatible with these releases. This issue is resolved with updates to the Media Composer application.
